MADAWASKA, Maine (Feb. 25, 2021) – Acadia Federal Credit Union is pleased to announce that Jarod McBreairty is the newest loan officer for their Madawaska branch.

Jarod McBreairty, Loan Officer

McBreairty brings 16 years of banking, lending, and leadership experience to Acadia FCU. He will assist members with their consumer lending needs, while viewing, analyzing and approving both consumer and real estate loans.

“I love the one-on-one interactions I have with our members, helping me develop a personal relationship with them,” said McBreairty. “It’s such a big change from working for large, corporate banks. I am part of some big events in our members’ lives, like their first home or first car—that is very fulfilling.”

After graduating from the University of Southern Maine in 2004, McBreairty spent the following 15 years at three southern Maine branches of Bank of America. During his time there, he gained experience in credit, marketing, collections, sales, payroll, analytics, and compliance. He spent one year with TD Bank in the Performance and Integrity Group before joining the team at Acadia FCU in late 2020.

“We’re very excited to have Jarod on our lending team at the Madawaska branch. He brings a wealth of knowledge from his past work in financial services and is eager to serve our members,” said Julie Hayes, Madawaska branch manager. “Jarod has acclimated quickly because of his strong understanding of credit and the basics of lending. During the pandemic and increased reliance on our many remote services, his technical skills have propelled him to deliver seamless service to our members.”

A native of Allagash, McBreairty currently divides his time between Fort Kent and Allagash. His pastimes include disc golf, snowboarding, bird hunting, and travel.

McBreairty can be reached at the Madawaska branch by phone at 207-728-4121 x.212 or by email at jmcbreairty@acadiafcu.org.
