Even if you have a “D” credit rating and get approved for this credit card, the highest your interest rate will be is 15.9%—that’s much lower than “less than perfect credit” interest rates at most other financial institutions.   • How is a credit score calculated?

    Credit scores are calculated using many different pieces of credit data in your credit report.

    Payment History: 40% of your score is payment history – a snapshot of how well you’ve paid your bills on time. Consistently paying your bills on time is important.

    Credit Usage: 23% of your credit score is based on the amount of credit used out of the total credit available. Experts recommend using less than 30% of your total credit.

    Credit Age: 21% of your score is credit age. The longer your credit history, the better.

    Account Mix: 11% of your score is based on revolving credit (credit cards) and installment accounts (student loans, auto loans, mortgage).

    Inquiries: 5% of your score comes from “hard” inquiries, such as when you apply for a loan or credit card.

  • Is there a fee to replace my lost, stolen, or damaged debit or credit card?

    The first time a credit or debit card is lost or stolen, no replacement fee will be charged. After that one-time “free fee” is used, the card can be replaced and a fee will be assessed.

    If the credit or debit card has natural wear and tear and is no longer working, a replacement card can be issued upon member request. In such situations, we will assess the account and decide if fees are justified.

    Credit and debit cards replaced due to fraud or theft will be provided at no charge, except in instances of repeated occurrences. In such situations, we will assess the account and decide if fees are justified, plus offer the member suggestions on how to protect their card and account.

    There are no fees associated with debit and credit cards issued at renewal dates.

    You may access www.ezcardinfo.com to access your Acadia credit card history, statements, and payments. You will need to create an account if you have not already done so.

  • How do you protect against fraud?

    Breaches normally occur at the processor or store level, and we’re set up to protect you. All Acadia FCU members have 0% liability when it comes to fraudulent transactions. If a merchant is breached or compromised and your card info is stolen, you will never be left unprotected.

    If you see questionable transactions on your account, please report them to any of our branches right away. We maintain state-of-the-art fraud protection to guard our members’ personal information around the clock.
