Acadia Federal Credit Union is seeking a motivated, organized individual to join our lending department as full-time collections officer at our Fort Kent orBangor/Broadway branch. An Acadia FCU collection officer acts as a liaison between the credit union and members, helping to manage overdue accounts. This position involves direct member communication to offer assistance and counsel in order to attempt to collect payment for overdue loans or other payments. In a small percentage of cases, functions may also include repossessions, foreclosures, bankruptcies, and court proceedings.

The ideal candidate should have excellent oral and written communication skills, the ability to adapt to varied and unique situations, and be able to maintain utmost confidentiality at all times. Professionalism and the capacity to work closely with others are a must. An associate in a business field or equivalent experience is preferred. Training is available for the successful candidate.
